TeeDrop is operated by TeeDrop Golf, LLC. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information from users of our website (teedrop.dev) and iOS app. Questions? Email cb@teedrop.dev.
Account information: name, email address, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text) when you register.
Phone number: collected optionally so we can send SMS tee-time alerts. You must verify the number and consent to SMS before any messages are sent.
Search preferences: the courses, dates, tee-time windows, and player counts you configure for monitoring.
Billing information: subscription tier and status. If you subscribe on the web, payment is processed by Stripe, and we do not store your card number. If you subscribe through the iOS app, billing is handled entirely by Apple; we receive only subscription status events from Apple and RevenueCat, never your card or Apple ID credentials.
Push notification token: a device-level token issued by Apple's push notification service (APNs) if you grant notification permission on the iOS app. This token is used only to deliver alerts to your device and is replaced automatically when it expires.
Usage data: pages visited on our website, app screen views, and basic analytics to help us understand how the product is used and improve it.
Referral codes: if you arrived via a referral link, we record the referring user's code to credit any applicable trial extension.
We use your information to operate and improve TeeDrop: creating and managing your account, running course monitors and delivering tee-time alerts via push notification, SMS, and/or email, processing subscription payments, sending transactional and service-related communications (billing receipts, verification codes, account notices), and responding to support requests. We may also send you occasional product updates or promotional messages if you have opted in; you can opt out at any time.
We send SMS alerts only to verified phone numbers where you have explicitly consented. Message frequency depends on tee-time availability and your monitoring preferences. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings. Reply HELP for help.
If you grant notification permission in the iOS app, we use your APNs device token to send tee-time alerts and account notifications. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device's Settings → Notifications → TeeDrop. Revoking permission does not affect SMS or email alerts.
We use trusted third parties to operate TeeDrop. Each receives only the data necessary for its function:
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems within 30 days and retain only anonymized, aggregated records required for financial and legal compliance. You can request account deletion from your account settings or by emailing cb@teedrop.dev.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information: HTTPS for all data in transit, hashed passwords, and restricted database access. No system is 100% secure; if you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately.
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by visiting your account settings or emailing cb@teedrop.dev. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law (such as CCPA for California residents). We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
TeeDrop is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of TeeDrop after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
